Asian Cross-cultural Training Institute (ACTI) exists to serve churches and mission agencies with pre-field preparation of their missionaries, imparting knowledge, skills and character formation needed for cross-cultural workers to be effective in the present world situation.

Courses available

ACTI Course (6 weeks) – The ACTI course consists of a 6-week residential program where trainees will stay in Chiang Mai (4 weeks) and Singapore (2 weeks). There will be a one week mission trip in Chiang Rai during the 4 weeks in Thailand. There are two intakes yearly – Feb/Mar and Aug/Sep. With 23 experienced lecturers and in-house trainers, all trainees are taught 28 topics to equip them for the mission field. In addition, each individual is guided to draw up a Masterplan for his/her ministry on the field. One 2018 intake graduate has this to say, “ACTI is a wonderful place to learn more about missions and for cross-cultural training. The quality training goes beyond the classrooms and we learn so much through the lives of the lecturers and interactions with one another.”

Re-Entry Retreat (October Weekend) – Together with TCK Care Fellowship and other mission agencies, we hold an annual Re-Entry Retreat for all returning missionaries and Home Assignees in Singapore over a weekend at OMF, 2 Cluny Road. All returning missionaries from all mission agencies and churches would come together to reflect on their past experiences, assess their present reality and confidently face the future. Through this retreat, TCKs have formed a community to care and encourage each other.
